Fodor's Review:
Anchoring the south end of Rodeo Drive at Wilshire Boulevard since opening in 1928, the hotel often hosts visiting royalty and celebrities; it's where the millionaire businessman played by Richard Gere ensconced himself with Julia Roberts in the movie Pretty Woman. Step inside the Wilshire entrance to admire the opulent flower arrangement in this lovely, tranquil lobby. Regrettably, much of the old-school character of this historic gem has been stripped away as a forced trendiness has plagued the hotel's cafés and bars.
