Fodor's Review:

Part of the long-awaited venture from Iron Chef Mario Batali and celebrated bread maker Nancy Silverton (founder of L.A.'s La Brea Bakery and Campanile), this casual venue gives newfound eminence to the humble "pizza joint." With traditional Mediterranean items like white anchovies, lardo, squash blossoms, and Gorgonzola, Mozza's pies -- thin-crusted delights with golden, blistered edges -- are much more Campania than California, and virtually every one is a winner. Utterly simple salads sing with vibrant flavors thanks to superb market-fresh ingredients, and daily specials include crisp duck legs with lentils and Saba (a balsamic-like vinegar), or fennel sausage with rapini.
