$$-$$$, American, Downtown
Fodor's Review:
Hidden inside historic Union Station, this intimate restaurant is an art deco delight. Its linen-topped tables spill out onto the main concourse. Chef-owner Tara Thomas's menu gussies up popular favorites; for example, crab cakes come with chipotle rémoulade, while seared ahi tuna is dramatically paired with indigo-colored forbidden rice and bathed in a silky turmeric-coconut milk sauce. The jacaranda-shaded courtyard is a local secret. A well-stocked bar, occupying what was originally the station's telephone room, is just across the concourse.
