Fodor's Review:
The old-school vibe of the Golden Gopher is as much about where it's at as about what it is. Don't be surprised if you're panhandled on your way inside this downtown spot, which manages simultaneously to be swanky (art deco columns, Victorian wallpaper), kitschy (golden gopher-shape lamps, video games), and divey (there's a small liquor store inside the place for stocking up for later).
