Virginia Robinson Gardens

Gardens / Arboretums, Beverly Hills

Fodor's Review:

A paean to parklife, this estate, the oldest in Beverly Hills, was owned by department store heir Harry Robinson and his wife, Virginia, who bequeathed it to Los Angeles County. The classic Mediterranean-style villa is surrounded by nearly six sloping acres of lush planted grounds. The collection of King palms is reported to be the largest grove outside the tree's native Australia. Fountains and falls flow through a grove of citrus and camellias. Call in advance to schedule a tour.
