Fodor's Review:
With a history dating to the early 1920s, this studio was home to some of Hollywood's most luminous stars, including Rudolph Valentino, Mae West, Mary Pickford, and Lucille Ball, who filmed episodes of I Love Lucy here. The lot still churns out memorable movies and TV shows, including Forrest Gump, Titanic, and Star Trek. You can take a studio tour (reservations required) led by friendly guides who walk and trolley you around the back lots. As well as gleaning some gossipy history (see the lawn where Lucy and Desi broke up), you'll spot the sets of TV and film shoots in progress, including such hits as Entertainment Tonight, Dr. Phil, and Everybody Hates Chris. You can also be part of the audience for live TV tapings. Tickets are free; call for listings and times.
