Fodor's Review:
There are three theaters in the big downtown complex known as. The 2,140-seat Ahmanson Theatre (213/628-2772. www.taperahmanson.com) presents both classics and new plays; the 3,200-seat Dorothy Chandler Pavilion shows a smattering of plays between the more prevalent musical performances; and the 760-seat Mark Taper Forum (213/628-2772. www.taperahmanson.com) presents new works that often go on to Broadway, such as Tony Kushner's Caroline, or Change.
