Dramatic flower arrangements and a roaring fire in cool weather brighten this lively bistro. The Cal-Italian food is simultaneously inventive and comforting: risotto with squab and radicchio, pizza with pear and prosciutto, and rabbit braised in cabernet. Whole, wood-oven-roasted fish is an unusual specialty. Seats on the covered patio are coveted in fair weather.

OK Place

I visited Don Giovanni on July 12, 2007. The place looked charming and it had the best olive bread I've ever tasted. I visited with my friend. We had been driving from Las Vegas all night and had just arrived in Napa at 11:00 am. We looked a bit winded and felt that our waiter (an older gentlemen) did not treat us very well. He gave us a look that said, "what are you doing in a fancy place like this?" Although, many people around us were in jeans, they were not treated the way we were.

Great Food!

I love the food at Bistro Don Giovanni. Everything tastes good. Their soups are especially good and full of wonderful flavors. Dine on the patio near the fireplace if it's available...it's more intimate and quiet.

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch on a recent trip to Napa. I was disappointed when I was told that they were out of the duck pasta, but the disappointment did not last long once I tasted the rabbit pappardelle! Sit on the patio if possible.
