Beltane Ranch

$-$$, Glen Ellen

User Rating: ***** 4.8

Fodor's Review:

On a slope of the Mayacamas range a few miles from Glen Ellen, this 1892 ranch house stands in the shade of magnificent oak trees. The charmingly old-fashioned rooms, each individually decorated with antiques, have separate entrances, and some open onto a wraparound balcony ideal for whiling away lazy afternoons. The detached cottage, once the gardener's quarters, has a small sitting room. Formerly a turkey farm, the expansive property is traversed by an 8-mi hiking trail that's popular with guests.

WONDERFUL STAY!

Posted by Mary from Houston, TX on 9/22/06

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Beltane Ranch and loved it! We had one of the upper rooms that overlooks the property. The chef made a very large and wonderful breakfast every day (no lunch required later!) and was also very helpful with choosing what sites to see while we were there. I definitely recommend this B&B!

Go directly to the Beltane Ranch!

We have stayed in B&Bs and inns around the world and have found few that were as perfect as the Beltane Ranch. The location, the setting, the room, the gardens and the people combined to make it a really special four days. The owner, the manager and the chef could not have been more accomodating. We felt more like their guests than customers. And the breakfasts were fabulous (do not plan on wanting much for lunch). The rates are also very reasonable.
