Pass through an impressive metal gate and wind your way up a steep hill to reach Gary Farrell Winery, a spot with knockout views. After building his reputation on pinot noir, Farrell is now followed for his zinfandel, especially his spicy, full-bodied zin from the Dry Creek Valley's Maple Vineyard. He also makes a fine cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc, merlot, and chardonnay.
