$-$$, American, Napa
Fodor's Review:
Part of the Carneros Inn complex, west of downtown Napa, this small spot has a rural charm-meets-industrial chic theme. Outside, rocking chairs and swings occupy the porch of a modern red barn; inside, things get sleek with high ceilings and galvanized steel tabletops. The small menu of modernized American classics includes dishes such as braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and roasted cipollini onions and flatbread topped with bacon, Point Reyes blue cheese, and sautéed mushrooms. If there's a wait for a table, never fear: belly up to the wine bar, where you can find a good selection of reasonably priced glasses.
