Every seat in this casually elegant and quiet dining room at the Westward Look Resort, high in the Catalina Foothills, has a spectacular view of the city below. The fare includes classics like sautéed halibut and roasted rack of lamb in truffle port sauce, as well as regional specialties such as mesquite-grilled buffalo sirloin.

For an expensive resort, this place is outdated and overpriced. My husband ordered a glass of Zinfadel, and the waitress returned with milk. It took three tries for her to get us what we asked for. I did not receive the food I ordered, and we waited a long time for our check and water refills. Extremely poor service for a high-end restaurant. The hotel spa is equally disappointing. They are charging Las Vegas prices, but providing local spa services. Very small bathrooms, no sauna or steamroom, and the treatment rooms were too light and noisy.
