Prices for taxis are $2 to $3 for pickup, plus an additional $2.50 for each mile. Most people in Anchorage telephone for a cab; it is not common to hail one. Allow 20 minutes for arrival of the cab during morning and evening rush hours. Alaska Cab has taxis with wheelchair lifts. Borealis Shuttle has lower rates if you are willing to share the ride.
