Fresh-daily seafood and expansive harbor views make this airy James Bay hotel restaurant a popular lunch and dinner spot. Signature dishes include a crab cake starter, a scallop and prawn sauté, and crispy-skin Pacific red snapper with coconut milk -- but be sure to check the tempting specials written up daily on the blackboard. Desserts made in-house and a wine list highlighting British Columbia and Pacific Northwest wines round out the menu. The lounge area and patio, serving until 10 PM nightly, has equally impressive views and a more casual menu.

Blue Crab was wonderful

What a find. Local hotel recommended it as "the" spot for Seafood in Victoria. Much better than the hot seafood spots in Vancouver. Wine list (Wine Spectator award) was a bit heavy BC for by the glass for my taste, but had some great jewels. Had the live crab...was simply the best. Haven't had crab cakes that good in a long time either. Service was great - there but non-intrusive. Knowledgable about the various specials. Wife had the halibut - to die for. Well worth a visit.

We enjoyed this restaurant. It has a wonderful view and very nice atmosphere. Our food was good and we thought this was probably the best place we ate at in Victoria. They are not going to give big cities like New York, etc. any cooking competition but it was very nice.
