$, Eclectic, Downtown
Fodor's Review:
Part tapas restaurant, part up-tempo bar, this bustling, often noisy hole in the wall claims to have launched Vancouver's small plates trend. Among the adventurous snack-size dishes, you might find grilled smoked sablefish paired with black rice and spicy lime-glaze bok choy, or lamb sirloin served with a torta of smoked gouda, roasted vegetables, and potatoes. Snack on a couple, or have several and make a feast of it. The Bin serves food until 1:30 AM. Bin 942, a sister spot in Kitsilano, is a touch more subdued.
