Boba

$$$-$$$$, Modern Canadian, Yorkville

Fodor's Review:

Owners Bob Bermann and Barbara Gordon are a sophisticated culinary couple who cook in a charming brick house personalized with robust and gorgeous color. The seasonal dishes they've dreamed up are original and delicious -- grilled fresh Ontario ostrich with herb gnocchi and peppercorn glaze and rare big-eye tuna with coconut noodles, mango and avocado salsa, and black-bean sauce are customer favorites. For a heartier dish, try the grilled Black Angus with Yukon Gold frites. Vegetarian dinners are spontaneously invented. Boba has one of the city's prettiest patios for summer dining.
