$$-$$$, American, Danforth
Fodor's Review:
Slide into a well-worn wood booth or sit at a red-and-white-checker-clothed table at this vintage New York saloon, a solid bastion of Irish Americana complete with oak bar, pressed-tin ceiling, and short-order counter. There are many draft and bottled beers, a vast wine and whiskey selection, and what is possibly the best beef burger in town. The braised lamb shank with mashed potatoes and the liver and onions get raves. Servers may recommend the chocolate bread pudding with caramel sauce, bourbon, and pecans; trust them.
