Piles of coffee beans and an old coffee grinder in the window signal this lively café's specialty, and the smell of coffee roasting permeates the brightly colored main floor and mezzanine. The Brulerie is a favorite with students and shoppers, who come for their daily fix as well as for soup, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. It's also popular at breakfast for its omelets, crêpes, and such dishes as egg in phyllo pastry with hollandaise sauce and potatoes and fruit. About 40 different types each of coffee and tea are sold here.
