Fodor's Review:

Owned by Yves Simard and his partner Rebecca, originally from Michigan, Wisconsin, this bakery beckons you inside with its selection of Viennese pastries and gelato. For a quick, inexpensive bite, there's soup, sandwiches, and pizza. The decor is simple and comfortable. There might be a line while the locals buy their lunch, but it's well worth the wait.

Not ready for their close-up

Posted by areopagus from Montreal on 7/15/08

We went to this place after giving up on the creperie across the street. This place was just as bad. The staff were simply not up to handling the number of customers. It took more than 20 minutes just to get anywhere near getting our order. The harassed staff were cutting corners on hygiene (bare hands on the food, no hand washing) and there was chaos behind the counter. We finally just asked for our money back. Even doing that was a production. This is probably a good place, but like most places we found in Quebec City, they were just not ready for their time in the spotlight.

The Perfect Place for a Snack, Light Meal or Dessert!

Just returned from Quebec City and tried this place for lunch and for dessert. The sandwiches are big- perfect for sharing. The gelato they serve is the best in the city (in my opinion!). It just so happened the owner was in there when I was and he was very nice as well.
