Celebrities show up regularly at this upscale Italian restaurant just outside the St-Jean Gate. The person sitting at the next table may be singing on stage at the adjacent Capitole theater after dinner, or may be in town to promote his or her latest record, film, or play. The drama is enhanced by royal-blue curtains and cherry-red chairs. Pastas are made on-site. Try the spaghetti with scampi or the osso buco d'agnello alle erbe (braised lamb shanks with herbs).

I stopped there for lunch and the salmon salad was great!
Only small problem, service at our table was not as great (long wait and we had to check the tab which showed food we never ordered!)

real italian in a french canadian city
Posted by anna from levittown, pa on 7/4/06
the italian food is so authentic, you may forget you are in a french canadian city and think you are in italy. the calamari fritti had large and succulent calamari with greens and a light balsamic dressing. they were the best my husband ever had, and he gets some type of calamari in every restaurant we go to. the bread reminded me of my italian aunt's home made, crusty on the outside with a moist and chewy inside. we had the lamb entree and the tagliatelle with the light sauce. everything was cooked to perfection. the service was prompt, friendly, and very helpful explaining everything on the menu. the desserts were excellent.

The service was very good and attentive. Found the food quite bland (risotto and carpaccio).
