The motto says it all: "There is absolutely nothing trendy about Moishe's." And that would include the patrons, most of whom look like they would be more comfortable wearing fedoras. But if you're looking for a thick, marbled steak, perfectly grilled -- preceded perhaps by a slug of premium single-malt Scotch -- this is the place to come. The members of the Lighter family, who have been operating Moishe's since 1938, offer other dishes, such as lamb and fish, but people come for the beef, which the family ages in its own lockers.

Moishe's a mess

well, the service is bad and the food is worse, as the only thing special about their "special chicken" is that it's burned on the outside, pink inside. Not sure why people go here except out of habit. Slaw side dish nice and sweet with balsamic vinegar and nice pickles.

The steaks are great and cooked to perfection. The sides are more than adequate and the desserts are nice. However, the staff is downright rude and inattentive. They did not ask about drinks, about coffee, or even if we wanted additional items. They came across like we were there to serve them, and they were not there to help make the experience enjoyable. Would not recommend or return.
