Phyllis Friedman, who specializes in 17th- to 19th-century English and European antiques, no longer has a retail outlet, but she's been in business since 1983 and is one of the city's most knowledgeable dealers. She still has a warehouse full of English hunt tables, Empire nightstands, Anglo-Irish glass, ceramics, and crystal. By appointment only.
