$$$, Contemporary, Halifax
Fodor's Review:
A fid is a graceful nautical tool used to splice rope and at this small, minimalist restaurant, a two-minute walk from the main gates of the Halifax Public Gardens, the chef-owner splices together unusual flavors and textures. The halibut, when available, is the most popular dish on the menu and chocolate lovers should partake of the moelleaux au chocolat, molten chocolate-custard sauce within a shell of warm cake.
