Summit

A short drive from the city, past Camino de Cruces National Park, this former American enclave consists of a golf course and a combination botanical garden and zoo. The course at Summit Golf & Resort was created by the U.S. government in 1930 for canal workers and military personnel, but it was redesigned by Jeffery Myers in 1999 and is now a private club that's open to tourists.
