Playa El Palmar
With one of the less attractive beaches on the Central Pacific coast, tiny Playa El Palmar is a mecca for surfers, since it has one of the country's most accessible surf breaks and reasonably priced accommodations. Non-surfers have no reason to stop at El Palmar, and should keep driving to Playa Santa Clara, which has a wider, whiter beach and nicer accommodations.
