Fodor's Review

The ocean views from the sleek guest rooms and 13th-floor pool terrace of this impressive skyscraper are the big selling points, but the restaurants, facilities, and friendly staff close the deal. The hotel occupies floors 13 through 35 of a 70-story building that resembles a gargantuan sailboat. Its modern guest rooms have a bathtub between the shower and the bed, mirrors along one wall, and a balcony with a view of the sea and nearby towers. Details such as an espresso machine and iPod dock remind you that you're sailing first class. There's a massive Botero sculpture in the building's lobby, which also holds shops and restaurants; the hotel lobby is on the 15th floor. The 13th-floor terrace holds four pools surrounded by lounge chairs and beds, and a restaurant and bar that are a popular night spot. The 75,000-square-foot Ocean Sun Casino, operated by Sun International, opened in 2014, with the main casino on the second floor of the hotel and a VIP section for high rollers on the 66th floor.
