Hotel Macca Bite Review

Perched at the edge of the point, between the mangroves and the sea, this comfortable hotel has inspiring views of crystalline waters dotted with coral heads, the ocean horizon, and nearby Isla Popa. Colorful rooms are in two-story wooden buildings and have varnished wood floors, two queen beds, and nice tile baths. The "suites" are bigger, with high ceilings and more furniture. All rooms open onto wide porches suspended over the water and are perfect for watching needlefish, puffers, and pelicans. Local ownership and amenities such as air-conditioning and satellite TV distinguish this place from comparable area lodges. A small, open-air restaurant over the water serves mostly fresh seafood. Behind it are a garden and a patch of forest with tame macaws and monkeys.
