Isla Colón
Though it is the most populated and developed island in the archipelago, Isla Colón is still a wild and beautiful place, with just two dirt roads, two lovely beaches, and significant swaths of tropical forest. The road from Bocas heads north along the isthmus that connects it to Isla Colón, where it soon enters the forest. About 3 km (2 mi) north of town there's a fork in the road where the left branch leads across the island to the beach and community of Bocas del Drago, and the right branch leads to the surf spots of Paunch and Dumpers and beautiful Bluff Beach.
