Piedra de Agua Review

This converted 1842 mansion has been tastefully renovated for maximum comfort without compromising its historical charm. Designers will appreciate the antique-meets-modern decor seen throughout the property. Wrought-iron balconies supported by white columns overlook a courtyard where meals are served beneath industrial fans. If you plan on dining here, be sure to request the romantic cave for two; this was once a secret passageway that connected several Mérida mansions to the church. Within the walls of the stark-white property are 20 rooms with marble floors, canopy beds, high ceilings, and modern amenities. There's a lovely pool with a designated hammock area and a chic bar that plays chill out music and live jazz Fridays and Saturdays evenings. Its location, one block from the town center and cathedral, means that you can wake up to the sound of church bells.
