As one of the five haciendas in the Starwood Luxury Collection, this former cattle ranch (circa 1974) has fully restored guest rooms throughout its 25 lush acres. You'll feel as if you've stepped back in time with architectural flourishes like 18-foot ceilings, exposed beams, wooden double doors, canopy beds, and tile floors. Draped across sitting areas are woven hammocks held by bulbous pegs. The master suite has a private pool and sprawling garden, but room #9 is the most requested due to the massive ceiba tree growing through the ceiling. For a true Mayan experience, request one of the of the palapa villas transformed into deluxe accommodations. Separating this hacienda from the others is its periwinkle-blue facade and jungle setting.
