The main draw here is the friendly, personal attention the owners lavish on their guests. The rooms are sparse and the mattresses are a bit lumpy, but everything is clean and you'll have all the basics like a/c, Wi-Fi, and TV. For about $8 more, you can spring for the hotel's one suite, which has its own private terrace and a full refrigerator (and is markedly nicer than the other rooms). There's no restaurant, but a continental breakfast is served; Roger, the owner, is
also able to whip up simple dishes upon request. This is wonderful spot to watch flamingos at sunset. The hotel has close ties to the Isla Contoy/Ría Lagartos Expeditions clan and can help organize birding or fishing expeditions as well as other tour options.
