Located in the main plaza, the buildings of this worn but still nice budget hotel are centered on a swimming pool, where there are banana trees and tables for drinking or dining. The plain rooms are nothing to write home about, but consistently attract a diverse and bohemian clientele, and were recently outfitted with new linens and mattresses. The restaurant, where guests tend to gather, serves predictable but tasty Mexican dishes. Pollo pibil is a house specialty. You may be tempted to upgrade to the hotel's single suite—but it has the same uneventful décor to be expected at this price, with a whirlpool tub and more beds of various sizes jammed in.
