Presidente InterContinental Review

A salmon-color replica of a 19th-century French-colonial mansion, the Presidente is a bit of a hike from the main plaza, but sits right next to the Santiago church and public square, where a big, live band attracts whirling couples on Tuesday at 9 pm. Rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated with modern furniture, and have cable TV, blow-dryers, and spacious closets. By upgrading to the Executive Package, you'll receive complimentary cocktails, lunch snacks, valet service, Continental breakfast, and Wi-Fi. The small swimming pool in the central courtyard is pleasant for relaxing, but far from private, as many of the rooms face the pool area. The weekend breakfast buffet features a live mariachi trio from 9-noon.
