More than a century old, this colonial home has been beautifully transformed into a five-bedroom hotel that is owned and operated by "Micha's" grandchildren. The attractive rooms, named after five historic churches in Valladolid, feature beamed ceilings, antique furnishings, wrought-iron headboards, and old photographs of the city. Modern touches are subtle—like flat-screen TVs hidden inside rustic armoires, quiet air-conditioning units, and rain showerheads inside marble bathrooms. Slightly larger, the two suites have Jacuzzi tubs, stocked minibars, and Turkish bathrobes. Despite its central location, this cozy casa has lush gardens with a waterfall as well as a courtyard, where a delightful breakfast of fruit, cereal, yogurt, and eggs is served.
