Xalapa
Climbing
An option for climbing is the beautiful Parque Nacional Cofre de Perote, where the centerpiece is the 14,022-foot extinct volcano. A road leads almost to the summit, so you can either plan a day trip or stay for several days. The park is about 50 km (31 mi) west of Xalapa.
