When hunting guide Robert Brand married a local woman, he and his bride decided to welcome guests to their 380-year-old mansion. Hand-stenciled furniture and antiques here and there add to its considerable charms. Artesanía (folk art) decorates the high-ceiling guest rooms; the beds have intricately carved and painted headboards but somewhat lumpy mattresses. Clusters of chairs and tables on wide verandas invite socializing.
