Sonoran Spa Resort Review

One of the first megacomplexes in Rocky Point, this massive pink resort operates much like a hotel, but it has one-, two-, and three-bedroom, fully furnished condominiums in place of standard rooms. The Sonoran Grill ($$-$$$) serves steaks and seafood, as well as a great spicy lasagna made with chipotle chilies. The beach in front is never crowded, and you can do plenty here without leaving the resort—a good thing, since it is a bit far from the center of town.

Nice Place, But Far from Town

I stayed here a while back because my (then) boyfriend had a timeshare unit here and wanted to take me here for spring break. Basically, it's a gorgeous resort on a beautiful stretch of beach. However, remember to rent a car if you're flying here or bring along extra gas money if you're driving here! It's quite far from town, and there's nothing to do outside the resort complex. However there's a pool, a full-service spa, some restuarants, and some shopping in the complex, so you won't be bored staying put here for a day or two.
