La Posadita Review

Here, in the shadow of La Parroquia, you'll find some of the best-prepared traditional Mexican food in town. The guacamole is great, as are any of the enchiladas, the chiles rellenos, and the Yucatan specialty, cochinita pibil. Top it off with the homemade flan, a delicious preparation of an old standby, and wash it all down with one of the well-prepared margaritas. The sweeping countryside view from one of San Miguel's most romantic rooftop terraces is another enchantment.

    La Posadita Review

During our week-long stay in San Miguel de Allende, Oct. 3rd, thru Oct. 10th, 2010, we visited this wonderful restaurant twice, and enjoyed both luncheon experiences.

The food was nicely prepared and presented, using very fresh ingredients without being too fatty or over seasoned, showcasing true flavours in each dish we sampled. Margaritas were very nicely made (not too sweet, nor too sour), and the wine list was put together with a good degree of thought, with many bottles and price points to choose from.

Service was professional, yet, still charming all the same.

We also appreciated the lovely rooftop patio dining area where we were seated, affording lovely views of the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel on one side, and a lovely urban rooftop view combined with distant mountain views on the other.

Great location, food, wine, and service.

    I will be back.
