Hotel Refugio Casa Colorada Review
The spectacular onetime residence of former president Luis Echeverría sits atop one of the highest bluffs in town, with possibly the best views of Guanajuato. The whole building is surrounded by an impressive cactus garden. Each elegantly decorated suite is spacious, with restrained colonial touches; they have bathrooms tiled with local ceramics, floor-to-ceiling windows with views over the town, and small balconies. The Presidential Suite has a sunken tub and a telescope to complement its floor-to-ceiling picture window. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining on a spacious terrace overlooking the town.
