Long ago, as the story goes, the palace's 18th-century owner elaborately adorned his home in a remodeling war (which he won) with his neighbor. Behind the original facade of this Mexican baroque palace are the offices of DIF, a family-services organization. You can wander the courtyard when the offices are open.
