This bold restaurant overlooking the city's principal plaza takes Italian cooking in Mexico to a new level in an environment that showcases both a city view and a romantic, well-lit interior. Even better are the authentic Italian dishes, from carpaccio to pastas (especially a meaty Bolognese) to thin-crust pizzas to a tender, slow-braised osso buco. Fried appetizers are delicately prepared, and the shrimp are especially delicious. The wine list is surprisingly good for Guanajuato.
