Nuevo Vallarta's unusual new condo-hotel was inaugurated in 2010. The residence resort, which is geared toward couples, sells "learning vacations" and offers courses in everything from Mexican history to natural hormone replacement and stress-reduction techniques. The Wellness Spa offers treatments like aromatherapy, lymphatic drainage, and "nerve mobilization" as well as the more traditional Swedish massage. Guest rooms have a contemporary, white-on-white theme. Studios have kitchenettes; all of the larger suites have full size kitchen. Ground-floor suites have private plunge pools; some rooms have hydro-massage bathtubs. In keeping with the wellness theme, the entire property is non-smoking.
