Four Seasons Resort

Fodor's Review:
The hotel and its fabulous spa perch above a lovely beach at the northern extreme of Bahía de Banderas, about 45 minutes from the PV airport and an hour north of downtown Puerto Vallarta. Spacious rooms occupy Mexican-style casitas of one, two, and three stories. Each room has elegant yet earthy furnishings and a private terrace or balcony -- many with a sweeping sea view. The Jack Nicklaus-designed championship golf course has a challenging, optional 19th-island hole; the gym is first rate; and a good variety of sporting and beach equipment is on hand. Just offshore, the Marietas Islands are great for snorkeling, diving, whale-watching, and fishing. This is the place for indulging golf and spa fantasies, exploring beaches and small towns to the north and south, or doing absolutely nothing.

Our first visit to a FS resort, so we had high expectations...they were regularly met or exceeded. The place is beautiful. Has every activity you could need or want to do right there. Service is unparalleled across the board...anything you want/need, they get/do for you. My kids (8 and 5) begged us each morning to go to the Kids for All Seasons program. Only complaint is that the food is only very good, not as awesome as everything else. We were there during the President's week break, and every room was full...mostly with families. That being said, it did not seem crowded. If your budget can accomodate Punta Mita, go!
