Vagabundo Review

Chamela Bay, 79 km (49 mi) south of Puerto Vallarta, is an excellent place off the gringo trail for swimming, fishing, or exploring nearby islands. Simple rooms surround a swimming pool in this motel-like, quiet, two-story hotel a block from the beach at Punta Pérula. "Bungalows" have separate bedrooms and well-equipped kitchen-dining areas; the latter don't win any beauty contests but do have a table with four chairs, stove, refrigerator, and cooking and serving utensils. The hotel owner speaks excellent English.
