Fodor's Review:

Those who prefer to spend their vacation cash on eating out and shopping might consider this clean, bright, motel-like budget hotel a few blocks south of the Cuale River, behind Cine Bahía. Two floors of rooms face each other across an outdoor corridor and have tiny bathrooms but comfortable beds. Ask for a room away from the noisy street; don't ask to use the lobby phone—it's not allowed. Small TVs (local channels only) are available for about $3 a day; a deposit is required for a towel. Small-time businesspeople and backpacking Europeans stay at this extremely plain place when they come to town; they're likely drawn by the substantial discounts for monthly stays. Pros: Best bargain in town for dedicated budget travelers; walking distance to beach, PV eateries and mini-grocery stores; near Internet cafés and taco stands. Cons: Zero frills, fee TV with local channels only.

  • Hotel Details: 23 rooms
  • In-room: no a/c (some), no phone.
  • Rate includes: European Plan
  • Credit Cards: No credit cards
