Cabo Corrientes

Fodor's Review:

Just south of the end of Banderas Bay are the lovely beaches of pristine, wonderful, fairly inaccessible Cabo Corrientes. These take an effort to visit, and preferably, a four-wheel-drive vehicle, although a sturdy, high-clearance vehicle will do. Public transportation goes there and back once a day from the small town of El Tuito (40 km south of Puerto Vallarta) along a rutted dirt road.
