A few miles north of Piedra Blanca headland, Destiladeras is a 1½-km-long (1-mi-long) beach with white sand and good waves for bodysurfers and boogie-boarders. There's nothing much here except for a couple of seaside enramadas (thatch-roof shelters) serving fillets of fish and ceviche. Punta el Burro, at the north end of the beach, is a popular surf spot often accessed by boat from Punta de Mita.
