Playa el Salado
Playa el Salado Review
At Marina Vallarta, Playa El Salado—facing the Grand Velas, Sol Meliá, Marriott, Mayan Palace, and Westin hotels—is sandy but in spots very narrow. Colorful in high season with parasailers and with windsurfers rented or lent at area hotels, these beaches are actually more fun when crowded than when solitary. During fine weather and on weekends, and daily during high season, you can rent Jet Skis and pack onto colorful banana boats for bouncy tours of 10 minutes or longer. Some hotels rent small sailboats, sailboards, and sea kayaks to guests and to nonguests. In late summer and early fall, there are opportunities to view turtle-protection activities. Facilities: Banana-boat rides, Jet Skis, kayaking, sailing, snorkeling; food concessions.
