A few blocks past the north end of the malecón is this lively Mexican restaurant. Lovely paintings of the city brighten the walls, lighting is subdued, and the mood is romantic Mexico. The large menu includes numerous salads, pasta dishes, lots of variety in chicken and beef, and seafood and lobster prepared to your taste. You're allowed to choose your poison (beef, cheese, or chicken fillings) for the tacos and enchiladas on the combo plates. Enjoy live music (electric guitar versions of "Proud Mary," or mariachi music) nightly between 5 and 11 PM. Breakfast is served, and there's free if not-always-reliable wireless Internet in the restaurant and bar.

We were very satisfied with this casual yet delicious place for dinner. The food is flavorful, the service is attentive, and the prices are reasonable. We recommend the fish tacos as a great appetizer and, if you want to be safe, get the blue coast shrimp. This is shrip wrapped in bacon with a cheese sauce.

Our family has been traveling to PV several times a year since the 80's and we generally make a trip to El Andariego. This restaurant is NOT a gourmet dining experience. What you will get however is a fun, attentive wait staff. A menu that is sure to please every member of your family (tacos to lobster all done well). Good, strong drinks (including free tequila shots for all). AND, a price that won't break the bank. This is a good safe bet for a family that has different tastes.
