Fodor's Review:

Frequented in its heyday by Hollywood luminaries and the who's who of PV, this downtown restaurant still has a loyal following. The patio ambience is simple, but the wholesome food is satisfying, and portions are generous. House specialties include fajitas and Yucatan-style pork. Elena's is also known for its killer, handcrafted margaritas and its flaming coffee drinks.

We LOVED this restaurant and are planning to visit again next week. It's so romantic. The service was great, warm, friendly. Food was good.

It is true that this place has been around forever. It's still worth a trip for a drink at the lovely rooftop bar "El Nido". The food is pretty average and pricey though. Many better places these days.
